I am so sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. I wish I could have visited her. We worked together at Wil Lou Gray for about 7 1/2 years. She always had time to stop and be a friend when you needed her. She was a beautiful woman not only in outward appearance but in spirit and heart. I will miss you my friend. Love Barbara (Singleton) Kelly.

I have been out of town for a week, and was so shocked when I checked the State paper when I got back. I worked with Barbara for a number of years at Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School. Ray and Herman were the only family that I met. I am so very sorry for your loss. Barbara was a very sweet and caring person. She loved her family and God. She was a beautiful woman inside & out. My prayers are with you --- husband, sons, daugther-in-laws, grandchildren, sisters and all. I saw her several times in Walmart with Herman and I could see that she was going down fast. When I saw her after her mother had died, she hugged me and cried because she had just lost her mother. Well, she is with her now. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. Hang onto that fact, because Barbara believed that and she is singing in heaven. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

If there is one thing that my mind can think to say to her right now it would be that...I love you grandma! No words can describe how much you will be missed or how much you are loved, but I know you are right where you want to be. Even though its hard for all of us down here, to know that you are happy is all that matters in the world! Lord, please take care of her for us and hold her close because shes home and right where she has always wanted to be, in your lovin, caring, and gentle arms. Thank you lord for everyday you let her be on this earth and for letting her live such a great life! Forever and always, I love you grandma!!!!

Our cousin, Barbara, always held a special place in our hearts.
Like my sister, Barbara, said, "We always had the best times at the Roberts' house." We remember sitting around the kitchen table in lively conversations, singing around the piano (well, I tried to sing), and evenings spent on the front porch in the cool of the evening.
Margaret and Barbara even made washing dishes fun for us "younger kids."
When I lived in Orlando, Barbara and I became "phone buddies." We would call each other periodically. I remember we laughed a lot. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
I will always remember Barbara as being so vibrant and gracious. She enjoyed life and found humor even in times of adversity.
When we count the stars at night, we can rest assured knowing she's up there with our parents, aunts, and uncles, all looking down on us while in sweet repose.
She's with the Lord now.
With our warmest regards and deepest sympathies to each and every family member in your time of sorrow.
God bless. Love,
Debbie Adams and Family

I worked for many years with Barbara at Tamper (Harsco Rail). I also remember attending church services where Barbara and her family sang. I remember how beautiful I thought Barabara was. Even after I left Tamper and when our paths crossed, she was always so gracious and always with that beautiful smile on her face.
I know Barbara will be greatly missed by her entire family as well as many friends. My prayers go out to her entire family. May God grant all of you peace now and in the coming weeks and years. Time does heal a broken heart. God bless you all.

What precious memories I have of Barbara and the Roberts family. My Daddy, the late Rev. Douglas F. Parnell, was Pastor of Airport Baptist Church and we especially loved this family. When the Parnell and Roberts ate together it was always a joyous time - all 8 of them and 6 of us! I knew of her caring contributions she made to the kids at Wil Lou Gray as I was on the Board of Trustees. "A life well-lived doesn't end any more than music ends: it echoes through time with whispers of beauty and grace. If we listen, we can hear the encore with our hearts, for the sound plays on, just as love lives on." Barbara is singing with the BEST artists now - God's Angels!! I'll always remember her smile. Dear Family,
This has been a great shock to me. Aunt Barbara was like a 2nd mother to me when I was growing up. We loved our girl time together drinking eggnog at Christmas and playing the piano & organ. She is greatly missed and will always be in my heart. I love you Aunt Barbara. My deepest sympathies to Ricky, Ray, Ruby, Ashley, Chad and Uncle Herman. Uncle Herman you brought great joy to my Aunt Barbara's life. We thank you for your dedication and faithfulness to care for her.
God Bless you all and may he keep us in this time of grief.

My deepest condolences to the Smith's - Lindler family. I know Barbara once worked for Harsco Rail years ago but I did not know of her when she was employed there but I often heard of her in reference that she was a wonderful, cheerful worker and many loved her. I got to know her over the years through her husband whom retired from Harsco Rail as they attended Our Ladies of the Hill Catholic Church. She was always a pleasure to talk to as her husband was always diligent in helping with the seating of the church members on Sunday's. Her hair and make up was always just so perfect. She was a true lady. Deepest regrets. Sincerely, Susan M. Shunkwiler - Franke (aka Harsco Rail Receptionist)
