Jacqueline Watford Obituary

Jacqueline Collingwood Watford FORT MILL Jacqueline Collingwood Watford, 79, a longtime resident of Cayce, SC, passed away September 5, 2012, at her son's home in Fort Mill, SC under Hospice Care after a brief illness. She was born April 7, 1933, in Durham, NC, a daughter of the late Robert Everette Collingwood, Sr. and the late Sybil Moore Collingwood of Cayce, SC. Jackie worked many years locally in the printing industry, but her primary occupation was as a loving and supportive mother to her four sons. Perhaps this explains her lifelong love of the USC Gamecocks, Atlanta Braves and sports in general. She is survived by her three sons, Nolan Ernest Watford, Jr. and his wife, Wendy Tharpe Watford of Athens, GA, Russell Stuart Watford and his wife, Clara Renee Watford, of Fort Mill, SC and James Arnold Watford and his wife, Ruth Ellen Watford of Cayce, SC; three grandchildren, Jessica M. DeIulio and her husband, Edward D. DeIulio of Severn, MD, Justin R. Morgan of Rick Hill, SC and Josie R. Watford of Cayce, SC; and a great grandson, Joshua E. DeIulio of Severn, MD. She is preceded in death by her son, Wendell Travis Watford of Norcross, GA. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert E. Collingwood, Jr. and wife Patsy of Columbia, SC and Warren E. Collingwood of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Bennie C. Hite and husband Harold, Robin C. Bartch and husband Mark of Chapin, SC; and brother-in-law Roy C. Cunningham of Lexington, SC. Also preceding her in death are brother William L. Collingwood, Sr. and wife Ann of West Columbia, SC and sister S. Lee Cunningham of Lexington, SC. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home, State Street Chapel in West Columbia, SC, from 11-12 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012. The service will be held at noon in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Celestial Memorial Gardens in West Columbia, SC. The family would like to express its eternal gratitude to Mary Beth Bowman, RN, Towanna Davis, CAN and all the staff at Hospice & Community Care of Rock Hill for the excellent care they provided.
