To Richard's Family: We have just now learned of Richard's passing and are saddened. We have many good "Bank of Lancaster" memories with Richard over the years -- including Senior Bank School at Harvard and other special trips. He was an excellent banker and a loyal friend and he will be missed by so many.

I remember Richard from Lancaster High and also, I think , at Chesterfield Elementary. Most recently, he was very kind to my mother , helping her with her banking . What a fine fellow. Carlyle Steele, Greenville , South Carolina

Carolina, just to say that you and Richard's family are in our thoughts. I knew him since the fourth grade and he was always a good and loyal friend. You were lucky to have each other and that gave all who knew you both great pleasure and satisfaction. He lived a good life and will be missed by many. In sympathy, John Craig and Johannes Tromp.
