Clarence Dickinson Obituary
Born in Dalton, son of the last Joseph and Jane Watson Dickinson, he was a self-employed farmer for all of his life working closely with his parents on the family farm. He also drove a bus for Tunkhannock School District and was a substitute mailman in Dalton. He was a member of the Countryside Community Church, formerly Schultzville United Methodist Church.
Clarence was a true country gentleman who always had a kind word and a smile for everyone he met. He was a good friend to many and a wonderful son who took good care of his parents.
Surviving are his caregivers and great friends, Bonnie Maciak, Clarks Summit; and Melvin Gilpin, Dalton; and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit, by the Rev. Mark Terwilliger, his pastor. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 9 until the time of the service at 11. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Winola Fire Company, P. O. Box 73, Lake Winola, PA 18625; or Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit, PA 18411. To leave an online condolence, visit the funeral home website.
