Alphonse Giuliano Obituary
Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Alphonse J. Sr. and Laura Giuliano.
Alphonse worked for many years as a welder at Electric Boat in Groton until his retirement. He was a faithful communicant of St. Michael Church where he taught CCD for seven years. Al was also a Civil War buff. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his granddaughters, and his door was always open to anyone in need.
He leaves behind his two children, Theresa Giuliano (Robert) and Johnpaul Giuliano (Valerie).his sister Frances Williams; and his cherished granddaughters, Tanya, Savannah and Hope; and great-granddaughter Mackenzie. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Louis and George and his Aunt Fannie who raised Al after his mother's passing.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4pm to 6pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11am on Thursday at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. I remember when Alphonse was born. His loving faamily lived above us. Sadly his mother died in childbirth.As a child, I was friends witf his two brothers Louis & George.May he rest in peace.
