Claudia (Lynda) Knies lost her battle with cancer on October 29, 2005.
Lynda was born April 22, 1935, in Salt Lake, Utah. After numerous moves, she finally settled in Eureka, California, were she met and married her beloved husband of nearly forty years, Daniel M. Knies. Together they raised three daughters.
For many years, Dan and Lynda would vacation in Arizona. After the sudden passing of her husband, Lynda made a change in her life, she learned how to drive and decided to make Arizona her home. For the next ten years, depending on the season, she either resided in Apache Junction or Show Low, Arizona. She enjoyed traveling, decorating her two homes, and spending time with her many friends.
While in Arizona, Lynda met her cherished companion, Richard I. Carney, who she spent seven wonderful years with. Richard took care of her and was at her side till the end.
Lynda will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sister Marie Bugg and her oldest daughter, Delynn Noga, her husband Mike and her stepsons, Brian Noga, Jeff Noga and his wife Theresa. Her other daughter in Sacramento, Jayne Baumeister, her husband Richard and their two children, Rick Baumeister and Ileha Parsegian and her husband Rino. Her other daughter Julie Karnes and her husband David. Lynda also leaves behind one granddaughter, Alyese Baumeister.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice in Show Low, Arizona, for all the wonderful care they supplied Lynda with, and a special thanks to Richard for being there.
