So long my teacher and my dear friend! You did more for me than I could have ever deserved. The generosity of your heart never had any limits and it touched so many lives including mine in such a profound way! You will be dearly missed!

So long my friend, We met when we were both cast in a play together at Carleton College, and we were in several plays together
after that. You were the first person I told I wanted to do theatre as a career. In 2001 you commissioned me to write a play for The Little Globe Theatre in Kirovohrad, Ukraine. Then you used part of your Fulbright money to bring me there to direct the play. This started my long term relationship with the Social-Pedagogical Institute and my own 3 semester Fulbright at the Institute. E-mail and Facebook has allowed us to remain in contact. I will miss you dearly.

Dr. Turner was a funny and brilliant man. He accepted my application to the English Masters program 25 years ago, an experience that changed my life. For that I will be always grateful to him. I wish I oculd have taken a course from him but was honored to be in his presence.
