Claude Taylor Obituary

Claude C. Taylor, age 80, of West Toledo, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at home. He was born May 10, 1925, in Toledo to Lester and Effie (Grow) Taylor. Claude worked 30 years for the Jeep Corp. in various positions and was a member of the UAW Local 12. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Claude enjoyed traveling and jigsaw puzzles. A man with a generous spirit, he will be remembered for his willingness to help others.
Claude is survived by his wife, Norma Taylor; daughters, Linda (Ron) Nowak, Cindy (Chuck) Pontius, Susan Plenzler, Carole (Mel) Marx, Annie (Fred) Ibarra; son, Jimmy (Sue) Beachman; stepson, Robert (Sherry) Hayes; stepdaughter, Kathryn Lopez; sister, Ivalee Nicola and brothers, Norm (Florence) Taylor; 17 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his sons, Corky and Kenny Taylor; granddaughter, Katrina Marx; brother, Lester Taylor; stepson, Michael McCluskey; half brothers, Delbert and Charles Brown and half sister, Bertha.
Family and friends may visit Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 East Alexis Rd. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the mortuary. A military committal will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Northwest Ohio for all of their care and support for Claude.
