He married Tamie (Strickland) Logston on June 14, 1975, in the Monclova United Methodist Church, and she survives him in Bowling Green.

Robert was a 1973 graduate of Eastwood High School and attended Owens Community College. Robert met his wife, Tamie, while communicating in the 70s over the CB radio. According to his family, Robert said, once he heard her voice, he knew he had to meet her.

Robert had many interests and hobbies, which included camping and hunting with his children and grandchildren, golfing, metal detecting, fishing,

vacationing in Myrtle Beach, collecting old bottles, going to flea markets, and attending Toledo Mud Hen's

baseball games. Robert was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan his entire life, and even had a room dedicated to his beloved sports team. Robert also was an OSU Buckeye's fan. Robert loved his family very much and his grandchildren were his life and very special to him.

Along with his wife, Tamie, Robert is survived by a daughter, Tara Logston of Bowling Green, Ohio; a son, Robert "Bob" (Sharon) Logston Jr., of Portage, Ohio; grandchildren, Ryan, Christian, Konner, and Kaitlynn; a sister, Nora (Troy) Rodenberger, of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, James W. (Karla) Logston of Greensprings, Florida, and Douglas and Daniel Logston, both of Toledo, Ohio; special friends, Jon and Cindy Featzka, of Bowling Green, Ohio, and John and Kyrah Smith, of Fostoria, Ohio.
