Pauline L. Forish

Pauline L. Forish, 89, of Latrobe, passed away peacefully in her Florida home with her daughter, Debbie, and son-in-law, Jim, at her side. She was a loving mother and wife, had a heart of gold and always appreciated everything everyone did for her. She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Standard Shaft, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Frankovich. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Youngstown, and was a lifelong homemaker. In her younger years, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Pauline also enjoyed planting flowers every spring, collecting angels and loved baseball, being a big Pirates fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Forish, in 1982; her son, Joseph "Sonny" Forish, in 2013; a daughter, Patricia A. Mathews, in 2008; a son-in-law, Kenneth Mathews, in 2010; and all her siblings. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Gari and husband, James, of Lecanto, Fla.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, at which time a prayer will be held followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Youngstown, with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township. Special thank you to family friend Chuck Hughes for all the help he gave mom over the years.
