WILLIAM STINNETT Obituary

William Stinnett William Carson Stinnett, born January 12, 1932 in Maryville, TN, passed away September 9, 2018 at the age of 85, surrounded by loving family. Leaving to mourn his loss are his loving wife of forty years, Claire; his daughter Gayle (Gene) Brame, son Robert, and daughter Janet; three stepsons, Tony (Diana) Tyre, Travis (Michelle) Tyre, and Tim Tyre; sister-in-law Barbara Rose of Canada, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was a PWP of Tacoma Aerie #3 of the Eagles and a member of the AMVETS post #1. Bill retired from McChord AFB after 30 years of service as a firefighter. He never really retired, working several jobs until the age of 78. He served four years in the USAF and was honorably discharged December 13, 1954. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 17, 2018, at New Tacoma Cemetery's Evergreen Chapel, 9221 Chambers Creek Rd W, University Place, WA. Guestbook at www.newtacoma.com
