Wanda Culberson Obituary

Wanda Louise Culberson 83, of Tucson, Arizona (formerly of Wilmington, Ohio) died Monday, February 2, 2009 at her residence. Her husband, Dale D. Culberson, preceded her in death May 1, 1996. They were married July 18, 1939. Mrs. Culberson was born April 4, 1925 in Cozaddale, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian Fox Long. She retired after working 25 years as a nurse at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Tucson, Arizona. Mrs. Culberson is survived by two sons, Larry D. Culberson of Tucson, Arizona and Gearold E. (Brenda) Culberson of Clarksville, Ohio; two daughters, Janice D. Culberson of Milford, Ohio and Carlene E. (Brackie) Sekavec of Tucson, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Culberson of Wilmington, Ohio; two sisters, Margene (Don) Smith of Winter Haven, Florida and Nancy (John) McCullough of Cincinnati, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, two sons, Harold G. Culberson and Gary D. Culberson; four brothers, Ernest M. Long, Ralph Long, Rodney Stewart, and Nelson Stewart; a sister, Geraldean Long and three grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Paul Leibold officiating. Burial will be in Blanchester I.O.O.F Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home. She was a special lady, who loved others and loved to go boating and camping, as she found out this past summer. I will miss her hug and kisses and concern and love for me. Wishing we could be there.
