Lucy V. HOFFMAN

1954 - 2017

Age 63, of Hastings 9/17/54 - 9/27/17 Lucy Hoffman peacefully passed away on September 27, 2017 at the age of 63, surrounded by her family. She was our superhero. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John, daughter Carol, son Mark (Amanda), her beloved grandchildren, Owen and Vivian, mother-in-law Joyce Hoffman, her sisters and sisters-in-law, brothers and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. Special thanks to Jeri Hoffman, Mary Ann Schultz, the Weekly Weeders and extended family and friends for their help and support. Additional thanks to the staff at the ALS Clinic at Mayo Clinic (especially Dr. Nathan Staff, Dr. Maggie Moutvic, Karla Folkerts and Michelle Turner), the University of Minnesota Speech Therapy department, Dr. Kevin Best at Allina Clinic in Hastings, and Lisa Kronk and the staff at the ALS Association. A celebration of Lucy's life will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at The Wine Company in St. Paul (425 W. Minnehaha Avenue), from 1:00-4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Always Lucy Strong, the non-profit organization started in Lucy's honor. 651-437-9419
