Randy will forever be missed, but it was sheer joy to have him for a while.

"He who binds to himself a joy,
does the winged life destroy.
But he who kisses the joy as it flies,
lives in eternity's sunrise."
-William Blake-

Love to Maura, Randy's family, and his many, many great friends around the Twin Cities and across the country.

My sincere condolences to Maura Smyth and the Seitz family on the sad & premature passing of Randy Seitz. I recall him well from my years in Madison; he was always a stalwart member of my husband's music circle. And when I hoped to find a copy of a classic J Giles LP ("Full House," live from Detroit), it was Randy who spotted a worn copy at his part-time base of operations -- a dusty & well stocked used-record shop on University Avenue, close to the fabled 602 Club. Randy, we shall all miss your humor, quick wit, and generous heart. Rest In Peace, young brother. Shantih.

I met Randy many years ago when I used to work at Minnesota Museum of Art and collected money at the film series for which he was the projectionist. Over the years we would chat at the bus-stop.
It seems like I just saw him recently. I was just shocked and saddened to read of his passing. Please accept my deepest sympathy
