Mary Hayes Obituary

Mary Theresa Lyons Hayes -"Mimi" (82), sadly passed away on May 21 after a long illness that she fought fiercely. She leaves behind her Husband Dan T. Hayes -"Jack" of 61 years of Marriage, Her two Daughters Holly and Heidi Hayes, Grand Children: Dani Hayes, Katie Chaisson and Ryan Martin and Great Grand Children:Alexander, Raelyn and Indie Rose, Sisters: Nora, Susan and Patricia, Many Nieces and Nephews, Sister in Laws Ginger Rasch and Julia Hayes and her Love "Daisy" her dog. She has joined her Parents John J and Jeanette (Massicotte) Lyons, Sister Nancy and Brother Richard in eternal peace in Heaven.

Mary was unbelievably strong, brave, courageous, soul of the Family and always an angel on earth. She was the most loving, caring and giving person, devoted to her Family, Friends and her Catholic Faith. She loved Her Dog Daisy endlessly and enjoyed walking her to talk with Neighbors.

Mary attended St. Joseph's High School in Manchester, NH and went on to work at the Telephone Company. Mary and her Husband owned and operated a Family Convenience Store- Jack's Riverside Market for 20 years and later retired to Florida and took care of her Husband after suffering a debilitating accident. Mary took everything on her whole life, caring for Family Members in bad health and did it with love and compassion. She was an amazing Mother, Wife, Grand Mother and Friend.

Mary's passion and talent was knitting, she kept herself busy making Sweaters for loved ones and put so much love and beauty into them. She was funny, very bright and knew everyone and everything about NASCAR racing.

Mary prayed with her Rosary beads throughout the day every day with a strong Faith and is in God's arms at peace now. She will be returned to her hometown of Hooksett, NH and her Parish of many years The Holy Rosary and will have services at a later date.

Jack and family, Fred and I are so sorry for your loss. We will miss Mary tremendously. When we moved to Florida three years ago and moved into Coral Cay, she was the first person to reach out and welcome us. We became fast friends, with her bringing over new recipes she had tried or the four of us sitting under your carport chatting. Fred making friends with Daisy, Mary bringing Hopey treats. Even though we only knew you for a short time, we became close knowing about each others families. God speed and we miss you!

I have nothing but fond memories of Aunt Mary. I always enjoyed when Grampy would take me to their store and see all the regulars come in and interact with her & Uncle Jack. My thoughts are with you as you mourn the loss of your mom/wife but hope you can turn to great memories of her to help you heal over time. I love you all.

Jack, Holly Heidi: My deepest condolences to you from myself and my family. I have many fond memories of Mary. I feel like she adopted me. The way she treated me, fed me at the store and occasionally busted my chops. I am truly sad for the loss. RIP Mary.
