Mother Wilheleminia Fields Rhinehart passed on May 15, 2020. She is the wife of the late Apostle Nehemiah Rhinehart, the founder and organizer of the Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church. They played a major role in Mother Berger's Christian walk. Apostle Rhinehart was Pastor Livingston's pastor. Webb attended the celebration, took pictures and shared them with Mother Berger.

Pastor and First Lady Livingston celebrating the life of Mother Wilheleminia Fields Rhinehart, wife of the late Apostle Nehemiah Rhinehart, Sr. Apostle Rhinehart was Pastor Livingstons pastor. The Service was held at Solid Rock Full Gospel Baptist Church on May 27, 2020. Apostle and Mother Rhinehart were used by God to play a mighty role in Mother Berger's life. Webb took the pictures at the service and shared them with Mother Berger.

Mother Berger was a kind and loving Woman of God, who enjoyed serving people. She volunteered for the Share Program and visiting with patients in nursing homes. God took her to her new address at the age of 97 years old. She long awaited this day. Your Boom Booms will never forget you and I will not either. Kiss Reggie for me. We will love you and miss you always.

Mother Berger has been a part of Cedron Brook Baptist Church and my life since before I was born. I loved being with her at the church's dinners, picnics and all you-can-eat restaurants. I remember her love for others and me. I will always remember her yummy pound cakes and electric smile.

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Hilda Berger for many years. She was Mother Berger to me and I was one of her many "children". Mother Berger was a very loving and giving lady. She had a megawatt smile that lit up the room. Her calm words of wisdom and wit made me feel 100% and loved. I will miss her words, laughter and mirth.

She was known as “Mother Berger” and was beloved to me and so many. I met her through my dad’s church and came to know her for her loving and faithful attention to those who were sick and shut in. Prior to the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic, her missionary work was as regular as clockwork with at minimum weekly visits to fellow parishioners and Christians who resided in nursing homes. Dating back to 1996, she made weekly visits to Carroll Manor and prior to that, from 1977 until its closure she faithfully visited with her friends in Christ at the then-city nursing home D.C. Village. Her Christian love for others compelled her to volunteer at Forest Haven and to extend her hand to others in many others venues and under a range of circumstances. My own children remember her for her mouthwatering pound cakes which she so generously provided to others. I am thankful for the great friendship she provided to my father and our family. Blessings and peace to her family members and the many friends who, like our family, loved and deeply admired her as a pillar of the D.C. community. So many contemporary activists and leaders owe a debt of gratitude to Black women and missionaries like Mother Berger. They showed us that we have to keep the faith and provide support and aid to our neighbors even as we press for civil rights and larger goals.
