Karen W. Grebenstein

A loving mother, wife, and friend, Karen W. Grebenstein (Green) passed to a place of greater peace at her home on Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022 at the age of 57.



Karen was born in Virginia and spent her life in the Washington, DC area. She graduated from Largo High School in Bowie, MD in 1982 and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from McDaniel College (then Western Maryland College) in 1985. Karen spent most of her professional life as an employee benefits manager at Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. in Washington, DC.



Karen enjoyed reading, online games, cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She was a free spirit and would try just about anything, including acting as an extra in a Hollywood movie and earning a pilot's license in her younger days.



Karen is survived by her husband, Scott Grebenstein; her son, William Grebenstein; her daughter, Katherine Grebenstein; and her mother, Jo Ann Green. She also leaves behind her beloved dog and companion, Algebra.
