My sympathy to the family. Though I never knew Lee, she was the Mom of one of my best friends, Peggy, and we stayed with Dick & Linda in the Bangham house. May fond memories bring you peace & happiness.

Ididn't get to meet Leona very long, but when I had met her she was pleasant, radiant, and an absolute pleasure. I had hoped to meet her again, but I feel equally lucky that I was able to spend time with her in her last year. I do not have a lot of mermories of Leona Bangham, but those I have are fond and joyful. All the best to Leona and You, in this life and the next.

Dear Peggy, Dick & Linda, Bob & Ro, Bill & Linda:
I send you all my sincerest wishes and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your mom. I have many dear memories of her: happily traipsing along the Freedom Trail in Boston on a frosty winter day; hanging out at Black Lake and laughing hysterically as Peggy, Mara and I tackled (smelly) limburger sandwiches with clothespins on our noses; sitting at her beautifully set dining table, laughing, chatting and eating a delicious meal that she had so meticulously planned and presented; admiring her elegant (and always color-coordinated!) style of dress and her impeccable sense of good manners and comportment; listening to her many stories about her foreign exchange students, classes she took, dances (hula, tap, modern jazz, can can) that she performed and plays/musicals in which she showed-off her thespian talents; her warm, happy memories of the war years that she spent volunteering for the USO and happily meeting and dating your dad; exchanging family stories, especially those of her own children and grandchildren of whom she was so very proud...
Your mom was an exceptional woman - an elegant lady, charming, loquacious, inquisitive, caring, and talented. She will be greatly missed. May your loving memories of this unforgetable woman- your mom stay with you always. I will miss her and will remember her through all of you - her special children.
Take care and God bless you all during this sad time.
Love, Linda

I really wish I had been able to spend more time with my Grandmother. The last time I was able to visit she was so happy to see all of the generations together and that is how I will always remember her. Happy and smiling.
I missed her as soon as I got home from my last visit and I wish I could have seen her again.

Rest in peace Grandma, I love you...

Mom, You were the rock and glue for the family. You got us together for celebrations and sadness, and kept us in touch with each other during our busy day to day lives. Now we'll do it for ourselves and hope to do half the job you did.

I'll miss your cooking, your entertaining, your tales about family and friends, your encouragement and understanding of my farflung adventures and just the fact that you are my loving mother.

Be well, Mom. You can now breathe easy, walk without the walker or cane, and are with Dad and all your family that passed on before you.

I love you, Mom. Soon, I'll be on my way to Korea and you will be with me all the way.
