RUDOLPH ANTOINE TAYLOR "Rudy"
On Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Mr. Taylor was a highly regarded real estate broker and educator, served on the D.C. Real Estate and Human Rights Commissions, and was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his sister, Joyce T. Hynes, son, Damian (Carmen), niece, Kim T. Thompson (Anthony), grandchildren, Damian, Stephanie, and Yoselin, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, renowned jazz musician and educator, Dr. William "Billy" E. Taylor, Jr. Visitation at Stewart Funeral Home, 4001 Benning Road, NE, Tuesday, January 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, January 14, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m. Interment at Quantico National Cemetery. www.stewartfuneralhome.com

We will miss Rudy dearly. April had the opportunity to work with Rudy over 30 years ago when she met him while she was employed Industrial Bank on Georgia Avenue. Later she joined my law practice where we worked with Rudy on numerous real estate transactions and related matters. We became very close to Rudy. He was a true friend and a dedicated servant of this community. You could always count on Rudy to have a peaceful personality no matter what the circumstance. He seemed to love everyone. It is good to know that we will see him again in Glory.

My Rudy will truly be missed! My family was blessed with this wonderful man...a man that loved unconditionally! Rudy was an Angel sent here to make beautiful deposits in SO many lives. No words can express the emptiness I'm feeling from the loss of Rudy but an overwhelming sense of joy/peace from all that he shared and gave to us....we are better women & men from Rudy!! When i think of my childhood/adulthood, my Rudy is right with me every step of the way...your kindness, love and zest for living life to the fullest will always be with us! Rudy, you meant everything to me and I will always carry you deeply in my heart. May you rest in peace. I love you dearly, ~~Lecia (your daughter in Christ)
