Paul Foster Obituary

Paul David "Dave" Foster, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, in Sun City Center, Florida. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and veteran, Paul lived a life marked by dedication to family, faith and service to his country.

Paul graduated from Xenia High School in 1961 and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH. He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War and served in Arlington, VA, from 1967-69 before retiring as an Army Sergeant.

After his military service he worked for Delphi, a division of General Motors, for nearly 40 years and worked his way up to being the Plant Maintenance Supervisor before retiring in 2001.

Paul and Jeanne met at the Murphy Theater in Wilmington, OH, in 1961 where he worked as a film projector operator and Jeanne worked ticketing and concessions. They were married on July 17, 1964, and built a beautiful life together with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. They loved each other dearly and were married for 60 years.

Paul was a Christian, avid church goer and devoted church member for many, many years. In his spare time, he loved to hunt and fish and would spend many weekends and evenings on his boat fishing with his granddaughter, Amanda. They also took trips together to Maine to visit his son, Paul, who would join them on their fishing trips.

Paul is survived by his spouse Jeanne Foster (Shaffer), Children Paul Foster (Nicole) and Kelly Wilson, Beloved Grandchildren Amanda Yates (Thomas), and Kristina and Great Grandson Finnigan, whom he adored.

He is preceded by his father Jesse Lee Foster and mother Naomie Ilene Foster (Pierce), brothers Phillip and Steven Foster and sister Jill Slusher. Father-in-Law, Pierce and Mother-in Law Ida Mae Shaffer, and Son-in-Law, Troy Wilson.
