Jimmy Parks Obituary

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Mr. James "Jimmy" Parks, 54, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Seven Lakes Rehabilitation and Assisted Living in West End.

He was a wonderful, gentle man with a kindred spirit, and loved everybody. He was attending church at Seven Lakes. Folks knew him as "Cool Breeze."

A service to celebrate Jimmy's life will be 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hamlet with the Rev. Al McCormick and the Rev. Joe Wilkes Jr. officiating. The family will have visitation at the church one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11 a.m.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Travis Parks of Rockingham; his mother, Evelyn McCormick of Rockingham; a sister, Patsy Parks of Rockingham; brothers, Al (Barbara) McCormick of Hamlet, Jeff McCormick of Rockingham, Daryl Albright of Hamlet, and Terry (Sheronne) Burge of Whispering Pines. Jimmy was preceded in death by T. C. McCormick.
