Dennis E. "Denny" Miller

ZANESVILLE: Dennis "Denny" E Miller, 64 of Zanesville, died 6:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born Friday, September 9, 1949 in Zanesville, the son of Clayton E. Miller and Carol N. (Rhodes) Miller.

Denny was a retired independent semi driver with over 1 million miles of experience. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the 101st Artillery Screaming Eagles. He loved to play golf, scoring a hole in one. He enjoyed his red Harley Davidson Motorcycle and his corvette; he was an Ohio State Buckeye Fan, a Cincinnati Reds Fan and had a great sense of humor. Denny was a loving companion, father, grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Denny is survived by his devoted companion of over thirty years: Cindy Creeks; three daughters: Jolene Mullen of Sugar Creek, Ashleigh Macenko and Nicol Miller both of Zanesville; twelve grandchildren: Kelsey, Madison, Hannah and Matthew Mullen, Dalton, Tahlor, Kaitlyn Macenko and Kayla Gardner, Tejana Bryan, Kristopher Curtis, Nakuma and Naki Mayle; one great grandson: Brantley Macenko; two stepdaughters: Lori Evans of Zanesville and Robin (David) Grear of White Cottage; four step grandchildren: Robert, Sean, Sarah Evans and Caton Grear; his twin sister & "womb mate:" Debbie (Robert) Gray of Cambridge; one sister: Carrie (James) Price of Ashville and one brother: Andrew (Tina) Miller of Reinersville; K-9 buddies: Boo and Abby; three aunts: Josephine Snider of New Lexington, Rita Wells of Thornville and Joan Miller of Millersport; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by one brother: Douglas E. Miller.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 to 3:45 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the VFW Post 1058 Hall, 1318 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville where VFW Post 1058 Honor Guard will conduct Full Military Honors. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow with Pastor Mark Matzke, officiating. A time of food and fellowship will follow untill 6:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to VFW Post 1058, 1318 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, 43701, The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or The American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 in Denny's memory.
