Hannah Saxton Obituary
ZANESVILLE: Hannah Mary (Atkins) Saxton, 82, was born June 26, 1930 in Hopedale, Ohio and left this world on March 2, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Hannah loved God and encouraged others to love him. Her Christianity was shown daily to her friends and family. She was always willing to help those in need. Hannah was a devoted, respected, and loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. Hannah loved to cook and was a great cook. She loved family and friends getting together, loved her fish aquarium, country music, and her flower garden.
Hannah is survived by her children Bill (Sher) Saxton of Somerset, Brenda (Roy) Rucker of East Fultonham, Terina Saxton, Cathy Glenn, Hank Saxton all of Zanesville; brothers Jack (Patsy) Atkins of Hopedale, Andy Atkins of Jewett, Donny Atkins of Hopedale; sisters Marge (Jim) Ward of Hopedale, Becky (Randy) Robinson of Alabama; brother-in-law Conrad (Barb) Saxton of Roseville; 19 grandchildren, 42 greatgrandchildren, 13 great-greatgrandchildren, and four more grandchildren on the way; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mary (Dunlap) Atkins; husband Billy J. Saxton; daughters Rhonda Saxton, Sandra Saxton, Paula Kay (Saxton) Sinkovich; niece Jackie (Atkins) Akers; granddaughter Lesley Marie Saxton-Baker; brother Artie Atkins; sister-in-law Beverly Atkins; sister Dorothy (Byers) Wycliff; brother-in-law Harold Wycliff; sister-in-law Sue Atkins; son-in-law Tommy Glenn; maternal grandparents Clyde and Helen (Greer) Dunlap; paternal grandparents Jasper and Cora Atkins; father and mother-in-law William and Eula Saxton.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the funeral home. Rev. Aaron Bounds officiating and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
