Austin Majors (1995–2023), NYPD Blue actor

Austin Majors was an American actor best known for his role as Theo Sipowicz on the police drama “NYPD Blue.”

NYPD Blue 

Born in 1995, Austin Majors got his start in Hollywood at the age of two. Then in 1999, he landed his breakout role as Theo, the son of Dennis Franz’ Detective Andy Sipowicz, on the highly successful detective drama “NYPD Blue.” Majors appeared on the show until 2004, earning a Young Artist award for the role in 2002. 

Other work 

Majors, who also went by the name Austin Majors-Setmajer, appeared in numerous hit shows of the day, including “According to Jim,” “Desperate Housewives,” “ER,” “NCIS,” and “How I Met Your Mother.” He earned a degree in from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in 2017, after which he worked as a photographer, videographer and documentarian. 

Tributes to Austin Majors 

 “Austin took great joy and pride in his acting career,” the actor’s sister, Kali Majors-Raglin, told the L.A. Times. “From the time he was little, he never knew a stranger and his goal in life was to make people happy.”
