May the God (Ps 83:18) of comfort bring peace and strength to the Goggins family.

For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name by ministering and continuing to minister to the holy ones (Hebrews 6:10). Juanita will never be forgotten for all the work she did for her community and especially those eager young ones in her care. May God continue to strengthen your family in these “times hard to deal with” (2Tim 3:1), especially without a beloved one such as Juanita Goggins.

We know those who
uncover are makers
of black history
the ones who use all their
strength to deliver their people
those
ones that were not allow
segregated and integrated
to keep them quiet the riots
in the streets when all we could
do was demonstrate yet
we kept our peace and our dignity
ran our households and our schools
still went to church with more
fire than the holy ghost but most
we still survive even after the last
breath after the artifacts were
stolen form the pyramid
I hear your voice your legacy
the chalk writing across the
black board of education
I hear your voice the same way
I hear the children crying in the
school yard locked behind the
asylum of high fences and denial
I hear you and see that you
worked in the secret school
of the black teacher who
had to do more when no one else
would cloaked behind policy
and discretionary
I see you lived the life of the dream

Although I had never heard of Juanita Goggins until today, I thank God that she lived and gave of herself. We have all benefitted from her life for her accomplishments have touched us all -even though we did not know. There are so many unsung heroes inwho have made a difference in our lives. May we all make greater attempts to reach out to those who are along, even when they do not want our help. I will spread the word about this trailblazer to those I know and with whom I come in contact.

With sorrow and sympathy for the elderly and Mrs Goggins, may we all pray to have our hearts and minds to help others who are in need and not know it. Bless her legacy on earth and knowing God has her in his arms of protection.

I do not weep for Juanita, I celebrate the accomplishments of this wonderful woman I am just learning about. I do weep for myself and every other woman, child and democrat who will never get a chance to meet this vital, giving woman or at least send a letter of thanks for what she has done for us all. I weep that those who knew her didn't think to let some other person who has done so much for us and 'ARE' celebrated, like Oprah or Obama, focus on her accomplishments so we could all have the chance to send her thousands of letters of thanks. My heart goes out to her friends and family. Sallie Quick Florida

For Juanita...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...

Monika
