Michael Panzera
April 15, 2019
My name is Michael Panzera. In the late 1960's and early 1970's I played football with the LI Tomahawks. I never realized what a great man and warrior and hero Roscoe was until I was much older and I too went to war. I do remember when my father Anthony, also a combat veteran and hero, introduced me to Roscoe. My father said, this is Dr. Brown. Roscoe, smiled and shook my hand and said call me Roscoe, Dr. Brown is my father. I will never forget that.
Regards,
MAJ Michael Panzera, (Retired)

To the family of Dr. Roscoe Brown. There are no words adequate enough to describe the impact that Dr. Brown and the other Tuskegee Airman had on the history of The United States military. Most of them are gone now, but will never be forgotten. They forged the way for all of the black men that followed them in the US military. They are now a part of the United States history and will never be forgotten. Thank you, Sir!

I salute and honor the life of this remarkable man who I had the opportunity to meet in the year 2000. He was a true American patriot and one hell of a great fighter pilot who was credited with shooting down the first Luftwaffe jet powered aircraft, an ME-262, in battle during WWII. On the wings of eagles, Captain Brown, you will soar. God's speed!

TO THE FAMILY OF: DR. ROSCOE C. BROWN, JR.
BALM GIVEN IN DEEPEST SYMPATHY
LOVE IS STRONGER THAN DEATH
Love is stronger than death.
So, I must be content to know that
love is not affected by death-
it doesn't end, it doesn't diminish,
it doesn't change.
Instead, love is immortalized
and made eternal through death.
And the possibility of that love ever
being damaged or broken
is eliminated forever.
I'll put my trust in love.
Nothing on earth can separate you from Roscoe. Not time, not space...not even death!!
MAY GOD BLESS, COMFORT AND GIVE HIS
PERFECT PEACE TO YOU & THE FAMILY!
NOTE: We worked together for many years in the Bronx community. Roscoe was very instrumental in supporting a myriad of educational and community events that, as president of the Parent Teachers Association, I coordinated for John Peter Tetard J.H.S. 143, during the 1980's, and as president of the Tracey Towers Tenant Association, the Tracey Towers community throughout the 1990's. I will miss him dearly, and will never forget him, as he was a very strong wonderful friend, mentor and role model. I thank the family for sharing this great man with us. Those that love beyond the grave, shall never be separated by it! May God comfort and bless you all.
Blessings, love, grace and peace,
Sheila E. Reinhardt Ballard

May God Bless Roscoe C. Brown, Jr. and everyone in his Family. Why should we remember Roscoe, the Tuskekee Airmen, and all the other Veterans, our Heroes from World War II who are now going into the night? Because they let courage do their talking, we are free to speak our minds. Because they fought against tyranny, we are free to worship as we please. Because they gave up the comforts of home, we are free from want. Because they put themselves in harm's way, we are free to live without fear.

I was not aware of his military background, but remember him as a kind, gentle and supportive person. I met him at several of the annual meetings of the American Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation while I was a graduate student of physical education in the early 1960s. At the time, I believe he was a professor of physical education at NYU. I had the good fortune to be mentored by one of his PhD students, Gerald Kenyon.

My sincere condolences to the family. I had the opportunity several years ago to meet Mr Brown in Sag Harbor, NY. We lived in the corner house on Beach Ave and he lived across the way. My son was about 6 yrs old when we met Mr Brown. He told us to call him Roscoe and he shared his stories about flying. I went home saying he was such a friendly person and months later I learned that he was a Tuskegee Airman. It's a memory that I will always cherish. He lived a fulfilling life and will be sorely missed. May the family cherish his memories and his life journey. May God give you the strength each day as you make plans to celebrate his life and his homegoing services. If possible, can the family provide the funeral services information to my office Carl C Burnett Funeral Home in Hempstead NY 516-489-4492.
