Austin Eubanks Obituary
At the age of 17 Eubanks witnessed the deaths of friends and was wounded himself in the 1999 Columbine High School mass shooting. He was prescribed opioids to treat physical pain from his injuries, but soon began using the medication to treat his emotional pain and became addicted. At 29 he completed recovery and became a motivational public speaker with the goal of helping others who turned to substances to cope with their trauma.

My condolences to the family. I too have a family member who has battled with this disease and its never an easy road. He had been doing phenomenally well in the last decade of his life but they always say you never knows what goes on in a persons head, especially after theyve been through the tragedy that Austin himself went through and PTSD never goes away. My thoughts and prayers go out to to his entire family and I wish I wouldve gotten the chance to meet such an awesome man.

I found Jesus' words at John, chapter 5, verses 28 & 29, comforting when our family faced a grievous loss,
"...the hour is coming in which
all those in the memorial
tombs will hear his voice and
come out.
A promise that our loved ones are safe in God's memory and will be remembered by him when he fulfills all his promises was very comforting to me. I hope it will be for you as well.

Austin Eubanks is a descendant of Waldef Yuebanc, an earliest Eubanks ancestry. Since 1258, during the Crusades! His name lives on for 400 years in America while over 750 years worldwide. He has two sons, so the name lives on to this very day. God bless.

I am sending my deepest condolences to Austins family in this tragic loss. I recently
attended a conference in Tampa on May 14th and had the pleasure of hearing Austin speak. I was at this conference due to the recent passing of my 19 year old son to a drug overdose. I am so saddened by this and pray that Gods loving arms will embrace you during this most difficult time. Prayers for healing being sent.

I had the pleasure of hearing Austin speak in KY last month, 11 days before the 20th anniversary of the Columbine shooting. One of the last things he said when he ended his presentation was that he had to get back out to Steamboat Springs that day to enjoy skiing with his 2 young boys before it warmed up. I hope his children realize what an inspiration to me and many others he was that day in KY and everyone who has heard him around the country. RIP Austin

I'm so very sorry on the passing of Austin. I I watch his video, what an awesome speaker he was. "Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this most emotional time. The death of a loved one is always difficult to deal with and our Creator is very aware of that. That is why He tells us at Psalms 9:9 that He is a secure refuge for the oppressed, and a secure refuge in times of distress."

I really hate to hear that he has passed away. It's wonderful to know that he had a worth while cause that he was aiming for in his life and that is a wonderful legacy to leave for the world to live by. Please accept my condolences. PTSD, Depression and Severe Anxiety are conditions that never completely go away. Austin fought the fight against his own demons and tried to help others do the same. He lost the battle but he will always be an inspiration to me. I look forward to meeting him in Paradise.

Austin Eubanks gave the best presentation on drugs and addiction that Ive ever heard in Indianapolis Last December. I am grateful for what he shared and know he impacted everyone in the room, and has done that for thousands. His light shone brightly and blessed many. Dear Family,
I want to extend my sincere condolences, you have been through so much. I am sure you are reeling from this terrible tragedy, words can not undo the pain. I hope you are able to keep your memories close to help you get through each day. I too have lost a son, from a traumatic injury, he was 23 and I understand a bit of what this feels like.
I'd like to share a few thoughts that helped me.
There's a scripture in the book of Isaiah. That says, Do not be afraid, Do not be anxious. ...I am holding on to you with my right hand of righteousness . It's is comforting to know you are not alone and he also says I see your tears, I hear your cry's. I will heal you. I hope that these bring you some comfort.
