David Eubanks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Home - Mantua on Jan. 30, 2026.
David B. Eubanks, age 70 of Austin, PA formerly of Aura, NJ passed away at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Born in Woodbury, NJ to the late Benjamin Eubanks and Amanda (nee Irvin), he grew up in Harrison Twp. NJ and attended Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill. He worked for Foster's Gas station in Glassboro, MacAndrews & Forbes in Camden and retired from ExxonMobil Research in Paulsboro after 34 years, where he was a laboratory technician, First Class. Dave served as a volunteer fireman & EMT for Aura Volunteer Fire Company and on the fire safety team at ExxonMobil.

Dave enjoyed his Cocker Spaniels whether watching them in the show ring, chasing a ball in the yard or sharing his chair with them. After retirement, he relocated and built a home in a quiet valley in Northern Pennsylvania in Potter County where he continued to enjoy the outdoor life he loved, including deer hunting, snowmobiling, UTV-ATV riding, boating, camping, and fishing. Potter County was a place that brought him happiness and contentment while enjoying a beautiful view of the valley with his wife and his American Cocker Spaniels. He died where he loved the most and left behind Potter County friends who loved him dearly as family.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years, Janet (nee Jones); his brothers, Andrew Eubanks & his wife, Dede, Benjamin Eubanks & his wife, Bernadine, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Dave was predeceased by his parents and great-nephew, Benjamin R. Eubanks.

Relatives and friends may visit from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM or Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to the American Spaniel Club Foundation at https://asc-f.org/donation-online-form/.
