Pete was a giant in our east bay community. He was a no nonsense supporter of veterans but not foolish wars that placed them in danger. I was honored to have him park in my designated parking spot at Hayward City Hall as he held his legendary Saturday morning town halls.. My best to his family. We lost a dear friend and ferocious social champion.
