My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted army fans of this wonderful man Mr. Lamont Dozier. Mr. Lamont Dozier was one third of the Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting and production team, known for dozens of hit Motown singles in the 1960s and ‘70s. He was greatly admired by many fellow artists and all those who knew him. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. Lamont Dozier. May the music he created and legacy keep his memory alive forever.

Lamont Dozier was one of the greatest songwriters ever. The songs of Holland Dozier Holland were like the background music to life. And to this day those songs still bring joy.. Thanks for the great songs Lamont.....RIP

Lamont Dozier is an inspiration to me and a lot of other song writer’s and men who grew up in Detroit . He gave the world beautiful music with great lyrics that helped bring people closer together. His style will be studied for centuries to come When we think of the great song writers in history his name is on the list along with the Holland brothers of courses. And many a recording artist past and present can thank him for some contribution to there success. Thanks for helping to make the world better Mr Dozier and thanks to his family for sharing him with us all. May GOD continue to Bless and comfort the Holland family and friends

I met him once at a songwriting class at the Kennedy Center. I met him afterward and told him he'd written songs I'd loved since I was three. He got this BIG grin on his face! He was one of the nicest, sweetest, loveliest people I've ever met. I miss him already.
