Gregory Covington Obituary

Gregory Malone Covington, known to his loved ones as Greg, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 37.
Gregarious Greg. Adventurous, accepting, curious, playful, loud, intelligent, funny, non-conformist, athletic, musical and foodie. A self-taught software engineer with a green thumb. A talented musician and karaoke fanatic. Fondly known as "the most extra man I know."
Greg had a fierce love of nature. He found solace in the beauty of the natural world, especially in the company of his loved ones. His enthusiasm for nature inspired his family to further this legacy of love of nature by making available a cause close to Greg's heart. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Tulsa Arboretum or through a Go Fund Me page (https://gofund.me/877d44d8) that has been established in Greg's memory.
Gregory will be remembered as a loving partner, devoted father, beloved son and the best brother. His love for his family and his passion that everyone live in a world of justice and harmony is his never-ending legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
Greg is survived by his fiancée, Lauren LaFortune, his son Silas Covington, his parents Dr. Chris and Gina Covington, his sister Dr. Andrea Covington and brother-in-law Craig Harran, his twin brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Melissa Covington, his niece Isabella Covington, his grandmothers Kathryn Coffman and Nancy Covington, and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bill Coffman and Dr. Terrell Covington.

So sorry to hear this. I have many wonderful memories of Greg and all the Tulsa Boy Singers. I pray for Greg, his family, and his many friends.

I remember both Greg and Jeff well from the Tulsa Boy Singers days. I am sad to hear of Greg´s passing. My prayers are with all of his family in the days, weeks and months to come.

I knew Greg and Jeff as they were in my daughter Stephanie's class at Cascia Hall. Greg was also my son Gregg's wrestling teammate and his best friend. Gregg, Stephanie and her husband Zach Harris, my husband Gary and I grieved over this great and sudden loss of a very special individual. Gregg's wife Vera started to cry upon hearing the news. We were all in the Mediterranean on a family cruise with my husband's siblings, spouses and friends.
Gregg, Vera, Stephanie, Zach, Gary and I send all our love to you Gina, Chris, Andrea, Jeff, his family, and to Silas. My Gregg's heart still grieves for his best friend. Not able to return to the States, he wanted the family to know how much he loved you all. When he does return to the States, he will come by. Our prayers are with the family. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.
