Patsy "Pat" Lorraine Young Atkisson

March 18, 1935 - June 2, 2025

Patsy "Pat" Lorraine Young Atkisson passed away in her home on June 2, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Orves F. And Geneva C. Young; and her brothers, Orves Jr., Everette, and Robert; along with her infant daughter, "Janny." Pat was born in Asheville NC. She was a graduate of Brevard Collage, where she received a degree in business. She started her secretarial career in the main office of Burlington Industries in Greensboro NC. Followed by her employment at N.C State College as the secretary to the Dean of Entomology. She finished out her career path at Blacksburg United Methodist Church as the church secretary. Pat said "This is where she met some of the nicest people in Blacksburg." Pat is survived by the "sunshine in her life, children," Donna White, Kathy Henderson (Avria Hall) and Stephen Atkisson; and grandchildren, Kelly Singleton, Hunter White, Kaitlyn Henderson, Natalie Henderson, Chanceler Henderson, Jason Atkisson and Jessica Richmond. As well as Makailah, Lailah and Riley Henderson. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
