Dr. John McClain was my friend and mentor for more than 35 years. We work together to provide programs and services for people with disabilities and Health prevention, Education, Promotion services for people all throughout the United States of America. He cared deeply about mankind and we were more just friends and colleagues we were brothers. Our work was a connection of the Urban League movement and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Rest in peace my Brother. Love Sincerely: Frederick Wright,

John and I were classmates at Colby College and we sang together at the Seraffyn Coffee House on campus. He also sang with the Seraffyn Jazz Ensemble and the drummer for that group was a classmate of mine at North Salem High School in North Salem, NY. We became good friends at Colby and I am very sorry to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family. I found it interesting that we both wound up in Omaha as we were each originally from New York State.
