Paul Bernard Kast

November 8, 1953 - January 25, 2026

LA CROSSE - Paul Bernard Kast, 72, of La Crosse, went to his eternal home on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was born on November 8, 1953 in La Crosse to Bernard and Louise (Olsen) Kast. Paul graduated from Logan High School. He loved driving semi and school bus his entire life. He enjoyed bowling, deer hunting and going to casinos.

Paul is survived by his sisters, Mary Kast (Paul James) Donnell, Julie Scholz, and Maxine Silva; a brother, Eugene (Mae) Kast; and niece and nephews, Vanessa Silva, David (Rhonda) Willie, Paul Willie, Brad (Dawn) Scholz, Nicholas Kast and Douglas (Donna) Kast; and his best friend, Gary Witt. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, John Scholz and Rudy Silva.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. James the Less Catholic Church. Father Robert Letona will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
