BRUCE GOLDMAN Bruce Ferrell Goldman, 78, resident of 102 Northwoods Rd., husband of Rachel Strickland Goldman, died January 7, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Ninety Six, October 22, 1933, he was a son of the late Willie Osborne and Dorothy Sue Smith Goldman. He was US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Bruce settled in California following his military enlistment where he was a commercial and residential real estate broker and developer. He was a former resident of Fullerton, CA where was the owner and operator of Knott Realty. Bruce had made his home in Greenwood since 2003. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church, American Legion Post #20 and the Forty and Eight. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Dr. Debbie and husband Johnnie Brassell of Bedford, VA; a son, Russ Goldman of Brea, CA; a brother, Terry and wife, Charlotte Goldman of Marietta, GA; a granddaughter, Kimberly and husband Jon Long and a great-grandson, Tyler Fulkerson, all of Moneta, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hayes Riddle and Dr. Ken Petrus officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson. The family is at the home on Northwoods Rd and will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
