George H. Casella

Waltham – Mr. George H. Casella, of Waltham, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his home. He was 58. George was born in Waltham on June 21, 1957, a son of the late James and Elizabeth (Fournier) Casella, and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School. He worked as a mechanic for Newton Yellow Cab and before that worked for many years at Newton Cemetery. In his free time George enjoyed working on cars, visiting Fairhaven and spending time with his friends. George leaves his brothers, Paul Casella of Waltham, Mark Casella and his wife, Victoria, of Waltham, his sister, Sally Casella of Waltham, nieces Valerie and Emily, and many close friends. Family and friends will honor and remember George's life by gathering for calling hours on Saturday morning, September 5th, from 9 to 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
