Mr. Michael Israel Herman

A graveside service for Michael Israel Herman, 49, of Lexington will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Herman died Friday, June 29, 2012. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was a son of Sally Herman Elliott and the late Aaron Herman. He enjoyed outdoor activities including swimming and boating. In addition to his mother, Sally Elliott and stepfather, William Robert Elliott of Columbia, he is survived by his twin brother, Harold Morris Herman of Columbia; sisters, Susan Christine Herman of Frankfort, Ill., Clarice H. Herman of Greer, S.C., and Geneva Rose Winchester of Knoxville, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Babcock Center, 500 Rivermont Drive, Columbia SC 29210 or Autism Program of South Carolina, 806 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.
