Dear Barbara, Harvey and Chris,
As you know, I had the great joy to grow up with your family. South Cobb High School, lots of study, laughs, pranks, lots of fun. I am overwhelmed by your loss of both Jimmy and Ricky so soon, and so closely together. I have so many funny, laughing memories of them both. I want to tell you how much I remember them, and send you my greatest sympathy - but also to tell you how wonderful your sons are. Norma

My Heart was broke the morning I heard about Ricky. Ricky and I went to school together. Ricky was a great friend of mine all the way back to Floyd Middle School. He use to make me laugh and was always there for me no matter what. I loved him dearly. He was the greatest friend. Ricky, thank you for being a lifelong friend that I will never forget and most of all thank you for all the memories of walking me home from school so many times I lost count, all the talks and all the memories. I will miss you so much. You will forever live in my heart! My prayers are with your family! Janice Steele Holbrook

I had known Ricky for a long time....we were in high school together, worked at Georgia Power together, and then later worked for Pike Electric together. Ricky and I shared a lot of laughs, playing pranks on our bosses and co-workers. He will be missed. My prayers go out to all of his family and those who were really close to him.

Ricky and I developed a friendship after we moved next door to the Hightower's around 5 years ago. We were both garden enthusiasts and I will miss our chats very much.

I saw Ricky when I attended his brother Jimmy's funeral and it had been quite some time since I had seen him. One thing you can say about Ricky. He never changed as alot of us have. Talking to him seemed like we were back in high school trying to figure out what we were going to do Friday night. He will be missed.
God's Speed Ricky

You will be greatly missed, but Heaven has gained another Angel! <3

I was in shock when I got the telephone call on Monday morning to tell me that my old friend, Ricky, had passed. He was a very good friend to me during our high school years, and we had caught back up with each other over the last several years. I was there for him to talk to the day Jimmy passed away, and now to think that he is gone seems impossible. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Both Jimmy and Ricky were good fiends of mine, and to have them pass so close in time is so sad. I take comfort in knowing that both of them are in a better place now. May God be with his family during their time of grieving.

I have a heavy heart tonite,my thoughts and prayers go out to Barb,Harvey & Chris Hightower. I believe God has certain people come into our lives and for me Ricky will always be that person. We two go a long way back to the days of Floyd Jr. High and I'm so thankful he'd come back full circle into my life today for it had only been 26 yrs and we had so much catching up to do. I treasure my talks with him recently,we laughed and yes I scolded him a bit and then we laughed even more. Words cannot explain how I feel for you all at this time losing Ricky and his big brother Jimmy.I do know I am all the better for having him in my life and I will miss him dearly. Always, Melanie Garner (O'Byrne)
