We first met Deanna at Joann's in Novi when we signed up for an introductory quilting class that she was teaching. Her patience and love for her craft stood out to us and caused us to sign up for more classes. Over the years, we came to know her not only as an incredible instructor, but an even better friend. We always looked forward to seeing Deanna and loved to hear her talk about Houdini, her beloved family, and her friends at Bosch. We are shocked and saddened by her loss, and our thoughts go out to her loved ones during this difficult time.

I last saw Deanna here at Joannes. She told me she was leaving and said Joanns she said Michigan. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I was told of her passing at work. I was not prepared at all. Deanna helped me get I to essential oils and gave me my first essential oils book. She used to make me lotion bars and share her recipes with me. I finally perfected them. I still have some from her. I know she is in a better place. Smelling fabulously of patchouli.

I am still at loss for words about Deanna's unexpected passing.

She was a wonderful and very kind soul, a good listener and very creative. I will never forgot, when she brought me a Reese's 'flower' bouquet to comfort me. Her hand-knitted pumpkins are sitting on our table in our home and will always be a reminder of a wonderful person whom I happy to have met.

Deanna will be missed dearly.

I have many fond memories working with Deanna during our time together at Bosch. I will always remember her festive spirit and creativity, impressive grammatical and trivia knowledge, edgy wit, and overall kindness. She wrote me a short note before my departure from Bosch with words of encouragement that I will forever cherish, words that meant a great deal coming from someone of her caliber. Deanna empowered other women and left a lasting impact on many. My heart is with her family and friends as they grieve this tragic loss.

I am so saddened to hear the news of Deannas passing. I worked with her at Bosch and became friends with her over our shared love of our dogs. She would always ask how Mr Colby-Cheese is doing today and we she would share stories of Houdini. She bought me beanie babies that looks exactly like my dogs (AND she edited the names on the inside of the tag to match my dogs names! They are currently on my desk at work). She was a wonderful soul and she will truly be missed. I'm sorry for your loss.
