ROBERT MCCARTHY Obituary

McCARTHY, Robert E. "Bobby" Greatly Loved Died December 9, 2017. Born and raised in Mission Hill, Bobby spent many years of his life in Roslindale before settling down in Braintree. In his early years he proudly served in the U.S. Army. He went on to have a successful, 40 year career as an electrician at Northeastern University. Devoted father of Michael McCarthy and his wife Amy of Scituate, Dennis McCarthy and his wife Colleen of Scituate and Kathleen Patten and her husband Bill of Weymouth. Cherished "Pop" of Katherine, Brendan, Maeve and Patrick. Son of the late Paul and Mary (Healey) McCarthy. Loving brother of the late Paul, Jerry and Kevin McCarthy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Dear Bobby....Joe's sentiment is you were one of the nicest guys I ever met....I will miss your wit and our political conversations (always in total agreement). Your insight was more profound than anyone I ever knew. I learned so much from you even if I am your senior.
Claire's sentiment: you suffered silently for years with Barbara always by your side. We've know each other from early years on the Hill and you were always kind and peaceful...never en enemy. We love you Bobby and we will miss you. You're the BEST.
LOVE
Joe and Claire Fab
