Albert what a wonderful person with such love for his family! At work, he told me how much Charlene made him laugh and that they shot rubberbands at each other. He always said such sweet things about his family. I miss him and am praying for his family.

To all the Higueras-The Brennan family extends their deepest sorrow on the loss of Albert. So much of my growing up was intertwined with the Higuera family. So many laughs and great games of kick the can and prisoners. Albert is in our thoughts as are the rest of the Higueras.

To all of Albert's family - I was a classmate at St. A's in Evanston and at Loyola Academy with Al, and have many fond memories from our youth and growing up in Evanston in the '60's. Although we did not stay in touch over the years, I thought of him often. My prayers and heartfelt sympathy to his wife, "children" and entire family.

I will cherish your memory forever. I am so happy that Charlene was married to such a wonderful man as you were Albert. You were the best provider for your family that a mother-in-law could ask for. You will always be in my prayers. I love you and miss you.

Dear Charlene, Christopher, Brett,
Nicole, Michael and Tyler:
Thank you to all of you for sharing your wonderful father with all of us. Thanks for all of the good times especially all of the fishing trips where Charlene and I caught all of the fish. Remember the time when we were driving through missouri and we were clocked at 80 MPH and Joe got the ticket and we were following you in your car? Thats how I want to remember you Al for all the good times. I know that you are at peace now and we will always miss you and the fishing trips. Just remember the women were the better fisherwomen. I can always say that our life was better knowing you. Remember the time when Kristy caught that big fish and it was a snapping turtle and Al let us know that it was a snapping turtle? We will always remember the good times because Al was the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for. We love you Al and we will miss you forever.
Love, Jan and Joe

Even after many years I remember Albert as a co-worker and a friend. I especially remember his sense of humor and "collection of funny names," to which he welcomed contributions. In fact, that was how I would stay in touch... I would find some goofy combination of first and last name and send him an e-mail or give him a call. My heart goes out to all of his family and close friends.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Higuera, I'm sure that words are of little comfort to you now in the face of such a loss. I can only reassure you that your beautiful son was beloved by many; everyone who had the privilege to know him loved him for his wisdom, compassion, tolerance and wit. We grieve with you and share your sense of loss. I thank you and honor you for giving us the shining example that was your son - and my friend. Sincerely, Susan Selby
