I met Ilene way back in the 80s at Waldheim and worked with her there with Eileen Matthies. We were buddies. She would take me around the grounds, reading me the Hebrew that had been lacking from my education, but not hers. She brought that magic to me as the monarch butterflies swirled around us. Ilene was a special person, a doer, a giver, who always had the spirit of life inside of her which she passed along. Truly losing her is a loss, but I have to think in my heart of how much she has also given that will continue to be passed along to others. May she rest in peace. She will always be loved.

Dear Bass family, I send my condolences. A loss of a loved one can leave us with much anxiety. 1 Peter chapter 5 verse 7 says "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." God wants you to pray to Him and he'll give you the peace and strength you need to cope.
