PASTOR DONALD LEE MYERS

PASTOR DONALD LEE MYERS, 79, of Hurricane, W.Va., was carried by angels into the loving arms of his Savior the Lord Jesus Christ on January 12, 2018. He was a graduate of Buffalo High School and Lexington Baptist College. Don pastored for 50 years leading Baptist churches in Kanawha, Mason, Putnam and Boone counties. He also counseled at Cunningham Memorial Park and Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. His passion was socializing with family and friends and visiting those who were lonely, ill or simply in need of a friendly face. Don was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Norma Myers; and brothers, David Myers and Letrell Grady. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Adoree Myers; two children, son Jodie (Lisa) and daughter Darla (James); three grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa), Nate and Christina Myers; one great-grandchild, expected in June; brother-in-law, Don Caldwell (Suzie); nephew, David Caldwell II; his beloved black lab, Shadow; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Good Shepard Baptist Church in Scott Depot, W.Va., with Rev. Kenny Stidham Officiating.
