Dear Linda, I am so sorry for your your loss of your father. He was a very sweet, kind and loving man. I had the pleasure of meeting him on his 90th birthday when I came to work for you and Bill. I then had the pleasure to get to know him after many outings with him while caring for Bill. He always had something nice to say and was also quite the jokester and made you laugh. He truly will be missed. Thank you for your service Howard❤❤❤Rest in peace.
Love,

Howard you were a wonderful pastor and member of Christ Lutheran. As I look at one of your hand typed letters of thanks and encouragement, I so appreciated you being a part of this church. From a pastor's perspective you often stood up and stressed important stewardship messages for all to hear. Things I wanted to say, but you knew they would come across stronger from a member of the church. Thank you for your service to our country and the Church of Jesus!!! Well done good and faithful servant!

I knew Pastor from St. Paul's church in Olney. Pastor was a proud Frankford High alum. Every year, prior to the Onley High vs Frankford football game, Pastor would post a notice (on the choir room door, as I recall), reminding us that Olney had not beaten Frankford in a long (long) time, and in the unlikely event that it did, there would be a party at his house (across from the church at 5th and Nedro). On the day of the game in 1965(?), my dad (who took the trolley home from work up 5th St.), came in and noted that all of the windows on the front of Pastor's house were covered in black. Olney had beaten Frankford after 35 years of trying. And that evening there was a party at the Weidemoyer's. Pastor was a good man, who was always a steadying and positive force . My sisters Ruth and Laura and my brother Paul and I would like to extend our condolences to the family.

Uncle Walt will be sorely missed. He and Aunt Pauline gave of their love freely. His and Linda’s prayers were a comfort to me when I had some troubles. Knowing he is with Jesus and will see Aunt Pauline is an awesome thing. My Mom will miss him terribly as will we all. I love you Uncle Walt. Until we meet again in Jesus’s house goodbye for now.

We smiled through the slide show, thanking God for Howard and the wonderful life he shared. Our prayers surround Linda, Bill and all who will miss him. We grieve but hold onto the Easter Promise that Howard proclaimed in word and spirit! Rest with the saints, Howard, until we meet again.

Pastor (as he has been known to our family for 41 years) baptized both our children, prayed for our family for many years and always had a huge smile and hug for both of us, our children and grandchildren. It is impossible to find words to show how much Pastor was a part of all of our lives. May he enjoy spaghetti dinner with his and my good friend Jesus!
