Agnes Brown Obituary

Agnes Brown, 76, of Oscoda, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025.
She was born March 8, 1948 to David and Mary (Aves) Painter in Vincennes, Ind. On Nov. 7, 1970, she married Michael Brown in Vincennes. They retired to Oscoda in 1987.
She worked at Miller's Shoes in Tawas, Main Pier Marina and Campground, Holiday Inn, Northland Credit Union, CruzCom, and she loved her latest job, Dollar Tree in Oscoda.
She loved her family, especially her husband, Mike. They squared danced and bowled together. She was involved in the activities committee when Mike was in the military. She was active with the Girl Scouts for many years, both as a Scout and later a troop leader.
Agnes is survived by her sisters, Mary Catherine (John) Faulkner, and Ann (Doug) Onken; two daughters, Michele "Shelly" Reinhard (Chris Stults), and Christina (Asia) Emerys-Brown; three granddaughters, Jessica Reinhard, (Brandon), Bryana Reinhard (Brian), and Megan Reinhard; her step granddaughter, Diana Stults; 11 great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Mary Frances Painter; husband, Mike Brown; in-laws, Walter and Claudia Brown; and her brother-in-law, James Brown.
There will be a memorial service Sunday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Oscoda VFW. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
