Today is my 37th birthday. Yesterday would've been yours. Yesterday was 5 years since my Dad passed away. I thought about you often yesterday as I was remembering him, too. I saw a lot of hummingbirds for some apparent reason - they have a special meaning to me and you always promised you'd visit me and I would know by the hummingbirds. THANK YOU. I miss you and long for your friendship. When I talk to you an night, I hope you can hear me. I love you, Kris!

We mourn the loss of Krissy, she touched and improved the lives of many people. We would have been extremely proud to have had her for our dauther-in-law.

We all may ask why God called her home at such a young age, maybe God had plans to make her a special angel in heaven. It is comforting to know that we may all someday again meet and be with that special angel.

We miss her smile and gentle ways her need to make everyone happy, she would not want any of us to be sad especially now. Love you Krissy.

In reading everyone's comments about Kris, they seem to have covered her smile, her love of everyone, her wanting to help and to fight her disease. She said many times, "I am a strong girl and I will fight this disease".

Both Kris and Phil put up a good fight but God had other plans.

When I read the following it helps:

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I'm following the path God has laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at break of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys; A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things I, too will miss. Be not burdned with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full,I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed too brief. Don't lengthen it with undo grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now, He set me free.

She will be missed by all of our family, especially Todd.

People like Kris come around once in a lifetime. Instead of focusing on our loss, we should feel privileged that we had the opportunity to meet one of the most loving, caring and empathetic individuals. She will be missed by all.

My deepest regards to the family and friends of Kris. The few times that I had the privilege to meet Kris, it was apparent that her and Todd were ment to be. The lord works in strange ways at times and we know that Kris is looking over the ones she loved. I pray that your pain subsides with the knowledge that she loved you all and that she knew how much everyone cared for her.

I know that my words here cannot express wholly the love that I developed for Kris and our friendship in just a short amount of time. She was one of my closest friends, and truly all in 10 months time. How? Because as everyone who knew Kris, knows that she touched the hearts of everyone she encountered so deeply and honestly. The commonalities she and I had were unbelievable at times, and at other times, it made perfect sense to us both. I love Kris as the person she was deep inside her soul. Cancer never took that from her because she would not allow it. I learned many valuable lessons from her and she encouraged me to do things and take challenges that even I wouldn't normally do. She helped change my life in so many ways that I truly do not know the effect of her friendship yet. I love you, Kris!! PS: Look for the hummingbirds!

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of her family and friends. Though I only met Kris on a few occassions, she was a very warm, friendly, and caring person, sho had a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor. No words I say can take away the pain all must feel. All I can say is that another wonderful person is in God's kingdom and is watching over all of us.

I was introduced to Kris when her and Todd began dating. All I will ever need to know about Kris was how she made Todd look and feel. The way Todd would light up when he spoke about her was awesome. She was truly a gift from GOD and will have a lasting impression on all she knew. My prayers are with Kris's Family and Friends during these difficult times. Psalm 23 is a constant comfort to those who believe.

I still can't believe that Kris' smile and generous heart will not be here to grace us. I have known her for over 16 years and the loss will be something I won't soon begin to accept. She was an amazing person, even more so in her fight with cancer. She is a true inspiration for everyone, and the many lives she has touched will be immesurable. I take comfort in knowing she is a guardian angel for me and so many others. She was too good for this world, and God has called her 'home'. I love you Krissy, and already miss you.

I am very sorry for your loss. Kris could always light up a room with her big smile. She always had an encouraging word to say and a postive attitude to follow. I have only known her for a few years but I will miss all the giggles we shared. God has blessed us with her presence.

Forever friends,

To all who knew and loved Krissy -

I am blessed for having been able to spend the time I had with Kris. To be able to see her walk into a room, smile and share her love and compassion with everyone is an experience that I cannot describe. I will miss her more than I have yet to completely comprehend, but I am excited to know she is celebrating her new life with Christ and is free from the pains of this world.

Kris loved everyone unconditionally and always put others needs before her own. She possessed a rare caring and loving quality that I consistently would see displayed by her entire family. Additionally, Kris taught me a valuable lesson and that is to never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life, for better or for worse. Kris touched my heart and made my life much better and to remember to count my blessings each and every day.

If we are to gain anything away from this loss, it is to be more like Kris.

I love you Kris
