Cheryl Anglin Pursell

Cheryl Anglin Pursell LUBBOCK-Cheryl Anglin Pursell of Lubbock went home to be with The Lord Saturday morning Aug. 23, 2014. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 26, 2014, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will celebrate her life of 63 years at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Faith Baptist Church. Cheryl was born in Lubbock, Texas, on Feb. 12, 1951, to Roy Anglin and Shirley Jo Reagan. She graduated from Lubbock High school in 1969. She married Randall Pursell on April 23, 1981, where they lived in Lubbock. Cheryl worked as the payroll accountant at Starcare Specialty for 27 years. She enjoyed playing Bunko and volunteering at Reformer's Unanimous where she was a group leader and helped those crippled by stubborn habits and addictions. She was an avid scrap-booker and served as a president of the ABC Scrapbook Club. She always had a camera ready for an opportune moment, and you would always find yourself in the next album she was creating. She attended church at Faith Baptist Church for the last several years and followed The Lord faithfully with a servant's heart. She is survived by her brother, Wayne Head and wife Sheila of O'Donnell; daughters, Tracey O'Neal of Lubbock, and Teri Lee Slaughter and husband John; son, Travis Pursell and wife Kamie of Lubbock; grandsons, Samuel, Matthew, Jacob, and Colt; granddaughters, Sha'Lee, Hannah, Haley and Berkley; and great-grandchildren, Codey, Ry'Lee, and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy; and grandsons, Anthony and Dylan.
