Life Long Friends

In the process of getting together pictures, proofreading and copying and pasting the obituarythose words were eliminated prior to going to print in the Bangor Daily News and the Portland Herald. The obituary was suppose to include and Life long friends Ralph eddie Mishou and David Adutant But as I stressed over those words missing from the newspapers, I realized. We are all life long friends of my father Edward Eddie Ed Uncle Eddie, Grandpa, the dwarf, little man. He loved each and every one of us..equally. He touched many lives in his short 74 years ..and no pun intended on the short comment. How many of you received a birthday card ? every year or an anniversary card? Or a sympathy card when you lost a loved one?? Many received a visit from him at their loved ones funeral. He was a caring compassionate man who would do whatever was within his power to help his family, loved ones, neighbors, and total strangers.

Let me tell you a story before I forget..

We had a GREAT day WednesdayMarch 25th 2015 that was the last day I spent with my father.. it was just the two of usI think he planned it that way..wanted it to be that way..he knew who I was most visits he didn't I later learned from his nurse, Dottie, that he had told her earlier that morning that his daughter was coming to visit. He was awake and alert the whole day. We chatted some..watched TV.. HGTV he agreed to buy me a beach house like the one on the show we were watching hmmm maybe I should have gotten that in writing We ate ice cream well he ate ice cream I fed it to him he seemed pain free and when I mentioned a nap.. he shook his head no'..later in the afternoon he reminded me I should get going up the highway.. I asked if he were trying to get rid of me..he shook his head no and said long driveI said shouldn't you be napping? Again he shook his head no'. when I left that afternoon he was watching Ellendancing with Ellen.. I said my usual .. I am running home for abit I will see you soon Love ya in which he replied love ya too .. as I drove up the highway that night I knew that would be that last time we would speak We had a GREAT Day

We don't have control over when people die difficult words for me to swallow On Friday, March 27, 2015, my father's higher power decided it was his time to go. Maybe not a good time for us.. the loved ones left behind but it was his' time. We will be sad.. I will be sad.. and yes we will cry ..and miss him.. but knowing my father as I do.. I know he would want us to remember the stories the memories and celebrate his life he is not in pain..he is not alone and we will meet again.

Love Ya Dad
