I met Dr. Goldman at Danbury HS, where I worked as a school nurse. He volunteered his time to provide physicals, immunizations and medical care, for uninsured students on the WOW Van. I will always remember him as a gentle, caring and kind man, who cared deeply about children.
My condolences to his lovely wife, Pat and his family. May the happy memories bring you comfort and peace.

Dr. Goldman was my pediatrician in the 70's and 80's. Being adopted, he was so kind explaining how loved I was. He took a personal interest and remembered such details when I would see him, (which was generally on an annual basis) but took a sincere interest in his patients. He was iconic in our community. Heartfelt condolences to family.

Alvin was my pediatrician until I finally had to find an adult Dr. He was the epitome of the word mensch. The world is a little darker with him gone. I will miss seeing him when I go back to Danbury celebrations.

Dr. Goldman was my pediatrician in the 60s and 70s...the office was across from Bargain World on West Street. He was so very kind and gentle, I was never afraid to go to the doctor (and I was there a lot). I was not surprised to hear of all his good works.. he was an amazing man. May he now rest... condolences to the family.

Dr. Goldman will always be remembered as a gentleman and humanitarian of the very highest order. His efforts to bring Israeli students annually to New Fairfield High School and to other schools, in cultural exchange programing, has had a profoundly positive impact on countless young lives.
With deepest sympathies to the Goldman family,
William Jones, Jr.

When I was about 4 I had a visit with Dr Goldman and I made a vanilla easy bake oven cake with bright pink frosting and jimmies. He acted as if I had given him gold! Little children never forget the kindness of adults!

Dr. Goldman exemplified all the best qualities of what it means to be a Danburian. His service to the community touched so many souls and his positive impact will be felt for generations. My sincere condolences to his family and many friends. It was my pleasure to meet Dr. Goldman at the Danbury Museum as he secured his collection of cultural ephemeral items to be studied and researched by all our subsequent generations. Thank you Dr. Goldman, may you rest in peace.

Pat, and Hillel, and to all your family as well. I am so sorry to hear about Alvin's passing. He did so much good in his long life and I only knew about a little piece of it. There was so much more! I will share news with my mom who will be so sad as well. She cherished her acquaintance with you Pat and with Alvin. May his memory always be a blessing.

Dr. Goldman was and still is a highly respected - GURU - of our youth in Danbury area as I remember many fine people addressing his accomplishments on Comcast Cable TV Public Access Channel 23 over the years and in our city classrooms too. We commend and send our grieving thoughts to all of Dr. Goldman's family. I first learned of Dr. Goldman's countless contributions to Danbury area children via Pershing Pharmacy as a kid delivering Danbury News-Times there as a paperboy. RIP: DR. GOLDMAN and finest thoughts to his family now.

What a kind soul Dr.Goldman was. He saved my life when I had spinal meningitis as an infant and was the doctor of my three children until he retired. A few years after his retirement my daughters and I ran into him and we were astonished he still knew their names even though they had been toddlers when he retired. A twinkle in his eye and a wonderful sense of humor, he will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with you during this sad time.
