RIP Ed you will be remembered for your kindness and generosity. Thank you for taking Roger and me out to dinner at Culver's Lake when we came to visit. Thank you for giving our kids lots of quarters so they could play the games. You were a good Uncle and Brother in law. You will be missed.

I initially got to know Ed on a business capacity. Each time I saw him was a pleasure and I soon considered him a friend. He always asked how things were and he meant it. He had a stronger sense of community than we younger folks are accustomed to. He always kept his ear to the grindstone and shared good advice with me. I was soon eager to see him again so we could share the latest and see how he would surprise me again with his wisdom. He was a man of integrity, the type man to do business with a handshake and a look in the eye. Always a fair man to do business with. He had a stern look about him but had a heart of gold. I will miss him very much and am grateful to have had the pleasure to know him. My sincere condolences to Ed Jr and family. My heart is heavy to learn of his passing.

I will never forget the winter night Mr. Risdon and his wife visited the dealership to look at new Cadillac's. I had never met him before and simply asked them to let me know how I could help. He looked at me and said he wanted to buy a Cadillac or two. I said great. He said I bet your not sure I can afford a Cadillac with a little twinkle in his eye. I thought how do I reply, how do I reply. So I quickly said oh I think you can afford to buy all the Cadillac's we have and boy did he love that. I always enjoyed seeing him when he visited the dealership and appreciated his generosity. My condolences to the Risdons.

My Uncle Ed was a kind man who was the link that kept me bound to the Risdon side of my family. Through him, my love for horses was born. I rode his retired gymkana horse, Cherokee, from my earliest memory. I enjoyed going back to visit him when I was in NJ, he and my Aunt Doris Ann always welcomed me. He's with my Dad, Uncle Red, and my grandparents now.
